NX41CC Tailwheel Dolly

A Tailwheel Dolly for 41CC

Here's the tailwheel dolly that I made for my airplane. I share a hangar with a Zenith 601 builder/pilot and he has to wheel my airplane in and out to get to his, so we wanted to make it easier for him. Normally, the Piet is managed by using the grab handles on each side of the tail, on the lower longerons. There isn't that much weight on the tail but the handles are down low and it does tend to work your back pretty good. In addition, we have a small step that the airplane has to jump going in and out and it takes extra effort. With the dolly, it's all done standing upright. The idea is not original with me... I copied the design from Jack Hart's Firefly website , and the whole thing cost me less than $4 but could have been done for -zero- had I been able to scrounge the Lazy Susan part.
