Jack Daugherty's KR

Jack Daugherty's 1835 VW-powered KR-2

Seen at SWRFI in Hondo, Texas both days of the fly-in June 1-2, 2007... this very clean and classic KR2 trigear. And in the background is Bruce King's really nifty BK-1 original design. Bruce is a member of EAA 35, our local chapter in San Antonio, and his airplane enjoyed continuous popularity the entire time... lots of lookers, askers, and photographers and Bruce sat out there broiling in the sun the whole time. Bruce is not a small guy but he fits in the BK-1 nicely and it flies great. More info on his website at http://www.bkfliers.com/

The wing root fillets and wheel pant fairings were flawlessly executed. I looked very closely and couldn't see even a ripple in the work. Same with the wing gap covers... they were perfect.

Registered to Jack Daugherty from Muskogee, Oklahoma and powered by an 1835 VW. This is the classic KR2 combination.

One more shot of the wing root fairings. Sorry about the photographer's shadows in the picture ;o)
